Photos of the gardens, sculpture and landscape of Robert Allerton Park, Monticello, Illinois, influenced by two antiquated and lovely words: perambulate and idyll. Not experienced in photographing gardenscapes, I was greatly inspired by the photographs of Billie Mercer of Las Pozas, the famed gardens of Edward James in Xilitla, Mexico. I tried bringing the same surrealism to this estate hidden in the cornfields of Illinois, of all places. Thank you and enjoy.
